Various studies have been conducted around the world on how people can stay healthy and how they can boost their body’s immunity.
Doctors and nutritionists say that if the body’s immune system is not strong, people become weak very easily even with minor illnesses and are more susceptible to disease attacks.
This type of food is essential for the body. The human body’s immune system depends on vitamins and micronutrients.
Dairy foods are known as probiotics in scientific terms, such as yogurt, buttermilk, and channa.
Several beneficial bacteria are active within the lining of the human stomach.
Hasan Shahriar Kallol, a doctor in Bangladesh, said that if the number of beneficial bacteria in the stomach decreases, cancer can take root there.
Dairy products keep the beneficial bacteria in the stomach alive. Vitamin D requires some exposure to sunlight during the day. It is related to diet and lifestyle.
Professor Najma Shaheen of the Institute of Food and Nutrition Sciences, Dhaka University, said that a person with a good body structure and no deficiencies will have a higher immunity to diseases.
He said, for example, breastfeeding a child from birth increases their immunity.
Foods rich in vitamins B and C
These vitamins are water soluble. They are not stored in the body. According to Dr. Kallol, you should consume some amount of vitamin B and C foods every day.
These vitamins are water soluble and are excreted in the urine.
These two types of vitamins work to regulate the body’s nerve function.
Vitamin C works to repair cells that are damaged due to reactions within the body.
Milk and liver contain vitamin B. Any sour fruit – lemon, guava, orange, lime and guava contain vitamin C.
How much tea and coffee do you drink?
Doctor Mr. Kallol warns that drinking too much tea and coffee is not good for the body.
“Suppose a person drinks seven cups of tea a day, and each cup contains one teaspoon of sugar, then he is consuming seven teaspoons of sugar every day. These seven teaspoons of sugar are terrible for the body,” said Mr. Kallol.
Tea and coffee contain many ingredients, some of which are good for the body and some of which are bad for the body.
Don’t eat too much rice.
60 percent of the food a person eats every day should be carbohydrates or sugars.
After this, 30 percent should be protein and about 5 percent should be fatty foods.
Mr. Kallol said, “In our country, we see that a lot of sugar is being consumed but not enough protein is being consumed.”
He said that if you eat excess rice or sugary foods, they are converted into fat after entering the body.
Professor Najma Shaheen said that to increase immunity, one should eat a variety of foods in a balanced manner.
“You may be thinking that you don’t eat a lot of oil, fat, ghee or butter. So how does my body accumulate so much fat?”
Regular physical activity
Physical activity is associated with increasing the body’s immune system. When a person does physical activity, every organ in the body works.
The body’s muscles and heart become more efficient. At the same time, blood circulation in the body increases.
As a result, oxygen will reach the farthest reaches of the body. Then, energy production will begin in the body’s cells.
Therefore, there is a relationship between daily physical exertion and increasing the body’s immunity. Mr. Kallol said that one should do such exertion that sweat flows from the body.
Will a good immune system protect against dengue fever?
Doctor Mr. Kallol said that it is not yet clear whether this has anything to do with whether or not someone is infected with dengue. The amount of germs entering a person’s body and the ability of those germs to infect them are important.
“Dengue is a virus. When that virus enters my body, my body’s immune system is activated immediately. Then my body immediately attacks it. So if someone has a good immune system and the mosquito that is biting has a low amount of germs inside it, my body will react well.”
