There is no guarantee of rain these days. It rains every day, but you can’t say when and where it will start. It seems that you may have gone out in the morning wearing sunglasses, it was so sunny outside. But after a while, the rain poured down. So you have to prepare for the day in two ways. Remember, the sun and the clouds are two things.
This preparation is not only for you. Your house also needs this special preparation. Know some useful tips-
1. Wooden furniture
On rainy days, fungus grows in wooden cupboards. The back board swells. Many times, the wood is bent, making it difficult to open the drawers. It actually depends on the seasoning of the wood. If the wood is seasoned well before making the furniture, this problem will not occur. Many times, that is not in our hands. However, it is possible to control it to some extent. On rainy days, keep your wooden furniture a little away from the walls. Keep the house dry. Damp weather damages wood.
2. Clothing
Damp weather also causes fungus in clothes. Do not take out clothes that have been lying in the cupboard for a long time and then wear them. It is very good if you can dry them in the sun once. This will remove the fungus and the smell. And keep camphor in the clothes in the cupboard. This will keep your clothes in good condition. During the monsoon, clothes can get damp and rot. So it is very good if you can take them out and air them occasionally.
3. Window grilles, steel furniture
Check the condition of all the steel, iron or similar products in your house. Get the ones that have lost their color repainted. Window grilles, tin doors rust during the monsoon. Later, you may have to replace the entire thing. If you use a good coating of paint, the life of these products will increase by many days.
4. House color, walls
The walls of the house can get damp during the monsoon. Check them carefully. See if there are any cracks anywhere. The drainage pipes of our house go through the walls of the house and connect with the large pipes outside. If any of these pipes burst, it can damage your walls. Fix these cracks. Use weatherproof paint on the walls.
5. Carpet
It is better not to use expensive carpets during the monsoon. Instead, wrap them in plastic and store them in a dry place. Use rugs, bamboo mats or cloth rugs on the floor during this time.
6. Leather sofa
Leather sofas need a little extra care. Keep your sofa clean by wiping it every day. Because, damp weather can give rise to fungus and can gradually ruin the expensive sofa. So, make sure that it does not get wet, does not stick to the walls and does not accumulate dirt.
7. Trees
It is better to send the trees used in interior decoration to the balcony or terrace. This will reduce the dampness of the house to a great extent. Because trees produce a lot of water vapor. That is certainly very beneficial. But during the monsoon, this good thing can be the cause of your suffering. Fungus and fungal diseases can increase.
8. Curtains
It is better not to use heavy curtains on rainy days. This does not allow air to escape from the room, and less outside air enters. The room becomes more stuffy in this weather. Therefore, use light-colored light curtains.
9. Disinfectants
Use disinfectants in all cases of cleaning the house and washing clothes. Bacterial infections are much more common in wet weather. Therefore, clean everything using less water, wait until it dries, and even if you cannot dry your clothes in the sun, at least use hot water while washing.
10. Electrical connection
During the rainy season, there is a high possibility of improper electrical connections, lines being cut, and short circuits. Therefore, fix all the lines in advance. Check frequently to see if there are any problems. Be careful before danger occurs.
